Fees and Sliding Scale
Crossroads Antiracism Organizing & Training’s mission is to equip institutions with shared language, frameworks, practices, and tools that will assist in diagnosing how institutions are structured to uphold white dominant culture and systemic racism. After developing an internal diagnosis our work enables institutions to animate ways of being that result in racially equitable institutional culture and practices.
In order to support and strengthen organizations doing strategic antiracist movement-building work, we offer a sliding scale for our fees. This is an intentional effort to distribute resources equitably between organizations we work with which includes faith communities, schools, universities, healthcare, community organizations, and direct service providers among others.
Our rates are based on an organization’s annual budget, but we may consider additional factors beyond budget to determine whether an organization qualifies for our “Equity Rate.” Special consideration will be given to communities that are doing movement building work and/or work to build a solidarity economy, and are led by communities of color, immigrants, and/or working class and poor people. Some organizations address this by partnering with allied local groups to co-host a workshop to share costs, or by connecting Crossroads with other local organizations that may want to sponsor or host regional events. In some of these cases, we are able to subsidize work through scholarships from partner foundations.
To request consideration for reclassification to a different rate based on the above factors, please complete this form: https://crossroadsantiracism.typeform.com/to/yVvaORsp
For requests from a department or division of a larger organization, we consider the annual budget of the parent organization.

Travel Expenses
We have begun to book a limited number of in-person engagements. All expenses related to travel will be billed at cost and will not include a discount or surcharge.
We try, to the best of our ability, to keep the facilitators’ expenses as low as possible. Generally these include transportation, lodging and meals. We use the GSA per diem rates as a general guideline.
We are a fee for service organization
Since Crossroads’ founding in 1986, our revenue has been generated almost entirely through training, consulting, and facilitation fees from clients. We have intentionally chosen a business model that does not rely heavily on donations or grants. Grants received support research and programmatic development. We do accept donations, but this income is minimal.
Your fees go directly to support antiracism movement building by providing:
- Just and equitable salaries and benefits for staff
- Operational expenses
- Ongoing organizing and program development
- Offsetting program costs for organizations with less access to resources
