National Organizer/Workshop Facilitator
Jenny Truax has more than 20 years of experience in group facilitation. Her two decades at Karen House, a collectively-run shelter in North St. Louis for unhoused people, gave her a deep interest and expertise in political education and group dynamics. She currently serves as a Program Associate for NCCJ St. Louis, focusing on the “train the trainer” program, curriculum design, and workshop implementation on anti-oppression topics such as racism, sexism, bias, and privilege.
Jenny is also part of the St. Louis Anti-Racism Organizing Collective, which educates and organizes white people into supporting local BIPOC-led organizations.
Jenny has a Master’s Degree from St. Louis University in Physical Therapy, and in her free time, expresses her true inner nerd by creating Harry Potter-inspired Treasure Hunts, Star Wars-themed Escape rooms, and other geeky adventures. She lives in the St. Louis area with her wife Annjie, hilarious dogs, and a variety of chickens and stray cats.
