National Organizer/Workshop Facilitator
Jyaphia Rodgers is a community organizer, sociologist, and community chef who lives in New Orleans. Her experience includes over 25 years of work in program design and planning, evaluation and facilitation in a wide range of human service and social justice contexts. She has served in the fields of workforce development, adult and youth education, food justice, public health, environmental justice, and disaster recovery.
After Hurricane Katrina and then the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, she helped manage data collection for research focusing on the impact of disaster on children and families. As an Antiracism Organizer/Facilitator, Jyaphia is part of the Crossroads Staff. She is active in her community and in her church, with a lay ministry of Radical Hospitality that aims to foster strong multi-racial justice-making networks.
